Kanban

Kanban is a Japanese word, coined from Kan (which means visual or signal n Japanese) and Ban (which means card or board in Japanese). Kanban is the process through which JIT (Just in Time) concept as used in lean manufacturing is achieved. Toyota is credited with bringing Kanban to the mainstream of lean manufacturing.
